In Italian, Carola is a diminutive or pet name for Carolina and an occasional given name.

The English variant is also occasionally a given name in its own right, but note that in old documents in Latin, Carola was used, with appropriate case endings, for Carol . Search on Carol* to allow for Latin case endings.
