Scottish feminine form of the male name Duncan [q.v.].

This is the standard Scottish feminine form of Duncan + -ina but it does not occur in the 1841 Census of Aberdeenshire. However, Dunkina, formed from the pet name Dunc[/k] + -ina, is in that Census, but very infrequently.
