1. A rare English female forename from Hebrew "brook"; OT 1 Samuel 19:11-17.

2. In the 1841 Census of Aberdeenshire Michal occurs as both a [rare] female and a [very rare] male forename but the latter is a spelling variant of Michael and not related.
